Affirmation of New Board Member. The board would like to thank the church
for their nominations for a board member. The board is presenting Steve Booth
to the church as a candidate for the board. The board provides official
business, financial, and policy oversight for the church. Steve & his wife
Joy have attended Grace since 2006 and lead a small group. He has also been a

Church Affirmation of New Pastor. The pastors are presenting Dr. Stephen “Doc” Hunsley to the church as a candidate for our Special Needs Pastor. The pastors of Grace Church provide spiritual oversight for the church in strategic, ministerial, pastoral, and doctrinal matters. Doc & his wife Kay have attended Grace since 2011. Doc serves as our Special Needs Ministry Director at Grace and is a part of the Grace@Home leadership team. Prayer Meetings.
Our Senior Pastor Tim Howey says, "Prayer is where the real work is
done." Join Tim for the "real work" in lifting up the community,
the church, and the world in prayer. No registration is required. Wednesdays, 7-8am, Room 112A.
American Heritage Girls Information Meetings. AHG is a Christ-centered scouting opportunity for girls ages 5-18. We offer badges, camping, leadership practice, service and more in a fun, faith-filled environment. These informational meetings will help you learn more about this program. Five sessions to choose from: Saturday, April 20, 4:30 or 6pm, Sunday, April 21, 8, 9:30, or 11am.
Student Ministries Worlds of Fun Day. Middle school and high school students, join the Student Ministries Team for a day at Worlds of Fun! Roller coasters, water rides, and BBQ will fill the day. We will be meeting at the church and transport by bus to and from Worlds of Fun on Saturday, May 4. For more information and to register, visit the Grace website. Baby Dedications. Following Christ's model in Matthew 19, Grace invites parents of infants and toddlers to stand and declare their commitment to raising children that follow Christ, and ask the church to pray and partner with them in this process. Men's Breakfast. Calling all men! This quarterly breakfast will challenge you like no other. Come hear what it takes to make that next step in your spiritual journey. Student Ministries: "Heaven on Earth" A Christian Prom Experience. High school juniors and seniors are invited to join the Student Ministries for a relaxed, fun-filled night at The Refuge KC for our first annual Christian prom experience. SOARly Needed R&R. The Grace ministry for families with special needs SOAR (Special Opportunities, Abilities and Relationships) is hosting a FREE night of respite for parents of individuals with special needs. Faith Family Serve Day. Hope Faith Ministries is a faith-based
ministry that serves the needs of the homeless and less fortunate in Kansas
City. Come see for yourself how we are ministering to those in our own
backyard. Please observe the dress code of sleeved shirts (no tank tops),
pants, and closed-toe shoes. Ages 5 and up are welcome to participate. Meet at
Grace at 8:15am to caravan down. Second Saturday of every month; next one on Saturday, April 13, 9-11am; bingo
11am-12pm.
Freedom Fire "Friday Night Live." Come be a missionary in your own city! No preparation needed. Simply show up to play activities with 80-100 urban kids, make crafts together, serve a meal, clean-up, and show the love of Jesus! Meet directly downtown at 1301 Vine Street, Kansas City, MO, the "T.B. Watkins" Freedom Fire location, or caravan from Overland Park at the 888 International Market located on the northwest corner of 119th St and Hwy 69 promptly at 5:30pm that night. SOAR Special Needs Volunteer Training. Volunteer and make a difference with SOAR! Are you ready to bless the SOAR special needs families in Grace Church and the community? Impact a Life at Summer Break Out. Summer BreakOut (SBO) has many opportunities for your talents to shine! We have volunteer needs in our classrooms, outdoors, on our stage and even behind the scenes. If you can't be at the event, you can get involved in the preparation, or at the carnival following the event. Email Daneen Kelsey to get involved.
GPK Tech/Talent Tryouts. We need more than 50 volunteers every weekend to lead our GPK kids in worship. We will be holding try-outs for kids and students in 4th through 12th grades. If you have vocal abilities, computer skills, dance talents, you love to act or can produce videos, sign-up for one of these sessions and use your talent for Christ!
