SBO
Junior Performance. Parents, join us as we watch the children who attended
SBO Junior perform, followed by a short ice cream social. Wednesday, June 5, 6:30-7:30pm.
Middle School Ministry - "Let's Meet For Lunch." We want to meet all middle schoolers for lunch! Bring your own lunch as this week we will meet at Grace. Thursday, June 6, 11:30am-1pm.
Cancelled -- Schlitterbahn Day for Student Ministries. Due to the expected weather the Schlitterbahn Day for Student Ministries has been cancelled. Refunds will be given to those who registered online.
Register Now for SBO Evenings. Jesus: Believe Him or Not! is the theme for SBO 2013. Through live worship, crazy fun sites, crafts, and teaching, kids will experience Jesus in a whole new way. Our week will be topped off by our annual SBO Performance and Carnival, where the kids can share with their families everything they learned. SBO Performance, Carnival, and Family Picnic. Join as a church family along with the many visiting families that attended the week of Summer BreakOut (SBO). The kids will minister to us using what they learned at SBO through song and verse. Outside will be a carnival with games and activities the kids experienced during the week. Also, you and your family can help with our missions project from the week as you package meals for starving children around the world. runch and fun treats will be available for a small fee. MOMS Of Grace Explore The Parks. MOMS of Grace, join us for a fun afternoon outside. Meet us at Frontier Park, 15501 Indian Creek Parkway. Monday, June 17, 9:30am-12pm.
Middle School Ministry "Take Over" Skyzone. Middle school students, come hang out with us as we "Take Over" Skyzone! This is a full trampoline park. Meet and pick up at Skyzone. Prior to the event, please download this waiver, fill it out, and bring it with you. Cost is $13. Find more information online. Tuesday, June 18, 2:30-4:30pm.
High School Ministry Third Thursday. High school students are invited to meet up for a night of miniature golf at Smiley's Golf Complex. Cost is $6.50 per student; please bring additional money for snacks. Find more information online. Thursday, June 20, 6-9pm.
Student Ministries "Game Day at the K!" Attention middle and high school students! Invite a friend to "Game Day at the K!" Enjoy "Buck Night" and watch the KC Royals take on the Chicago White Sox. If that isn't enough, we will end the night watching fireworks at the K! Cost is $25 per student. Please find more information and registration online. Middle School Ministry "Chill and Grill." Middle school students are invited to "chill-ax" with us at our next "Chill & Grill." We will serve grilled burgers and hot dogs and spend some quality hang time together. Bring a friend! Cost is $5. No registration is necessary. Tuesday, June 25, 11:30am-1:30pm.
Children's Ministry Skate City. Join the Children's Ministry for a fun time of skating and laughing. Meet at Skate City at 2pm for free open skate. Friday, June 28, 2-4pm.
Fall MOMS Of Grace. Registration now open. Our MOMS of Grace meetings are a great time to meet other moms and share your journey through motherhood! Each mom is assigned to a discussion group that has a table leader and an experienced mentor mom. We begin each meeting with delicious food brought by some of our moms and a time to chat with other moms at your tables. Some weeks we will have a guest speaker, and some weeks we will have a party. Each week will be a blast!. Early registration price is just $40 -- register online by Thursday, August 1.

Ministry Vision Class. Did you know we have intentionally written our weekend
curriculum to facilitate families learning together? Our Children’s Ministry is
excited to offer a class explaining how we minister to your child and how you
can build on that throughout the week at home. We will also discuss procedures
we have put in place to keep your kids safe. The last few minutes of the class
will cover the information needed to be a volunteer. Whether you have been at
Grace for years or you are a new attendee, you will find this class beneficial.

Grace Beliefs Class. What does Grace Church believe and teach? Explore ten core subjects that help shape our beliefs here at Grace. This is a four week instructor-led and discussion-oriented Bible study. Topics covered include our beliefs on God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, salvation, scripture, baptism, communion, the local church, Genesis, Satan, the return of Christ and eternity. "Not a Fan" Women's Bible Study. This video-driven study concentrates on the fact that Jesus is not interested in mere fans. He wants completely committed followers. We will examine what it means to deny one's self and truly follow Jesus. It's a challenge - a call to look at your relationship with Jesus with fresh eyes. This study will be at the home of a "Gracer" and the address will be given after registration. It will run on Saturdays June 8-July 20, from 9-11am. Please register online no later than Monday, June 10.
"Lessons I Learned in the Dark" Women's Bible Study. "Walking by Faith: Lessons I Learned in the Dark" contrasts the evidences of walking by faith and walking by sight. It encourages participants to take risks, give God control, persevere through hardship, receive God's gifts, be guided by the Truth rather than feelings, and seek God. Please purchase the book at Mardel online prior to class. This class will be offered on Tuesdays from June 4-July 16, 10am-12pm. Please register online no later than June 13.
American Heritage Girls Parent Information Meetings. AHG is a Christ-centered scouting opportunity for girls ages 5-18. We offer badges, camping, leadership practice, service and more in a fun, faith-filled environment. These informational meetings will help you learn more about this program. June 22/23, during all services.
Grace@Home Blended Family Workshop. This is a workshop offered through the Grace@Home Ministry. Kathy and David Schlotzhauer will address the needs of blended families pulling from their personal experience and biblical principles. There will be a time for questions and discussion as well. No registration required. Saturday, June 22, 4:30-7:15pm.
"Unglued" Women's Bible Study. Is it really possible to make emotions work for us instead of against us? Yes, and in her usual inspiring and practical way, Lysa TerKeurst will show you how. Please purchase the book "Unglued" by Lysa TerKeurst prior to class. It is available at Lifeway Christian Store or online. The class will meet weekly on Thursdays, June 20-August 1, from 6:30-8pm. Grace@Home Tabletop Discussion for Parents of Preschoolers. In April, the Grace@Home seminar shared four "building blocks" (modeling, obedience, consistency and choices) to focus on in your children during the preschool years. How do you do that practically? Join us as we discuss in tables how to work through various real-life scenarios using these biblical building blocks. No registration required. Saturday, June 29, 4:30-7:15pm.

Faith Family Serve Day. Hope Faith Ministries is a faith-based
ministry that serves the needs of the homeless and less fortunate in Kansas
City. Come see for yourself how we are ministering to those in our own
backyard. Please observe the dress code of sleeved shirts (no tank tops),
pants, and closed-toe shoes. Ages 5 and up are welcome to participate. Meet at
Grace at 8:15am to caravan down. Second Saturday of every month; next one on Saturday, June 8, 9-11am; bingo
11am-12pm.
Student Ministries Volunteer Orientation. Come explore the possibilities to invest in the lives of students! Grace Student Ministries is hosting an orientation to explain the ins and outs of our volunteer process. Whether it's leading a small group, serving food, or chaperoning an event, you are needed and can make a difference. Please let us know you plan on coming by registering online. Donation Items Needed For Haiti. A group of "Gracers" will be going on a mission trip to Haiti the week of June 23. You can help bless the people of Haiti by sending them with donations. For a list of requested donation items, please visit the "Haiti Missions Trip" calendar listing (Outreach category). Deadline for donations is June 16.
High School Ministry Outreach Event @ Freedom Fire. High school students are invited to help the Student Ministries Team love and support our local outreach organizations by assisting them in their various areas of need. Please wear closed-toe shoes, no tank tops, and modest short length for girls. Bring bug spray, work gloves, and sunscreen. We will meet at Grace at 8am and return at approximately 12:30pm on Saturday, June 29. No cost. Please register in advance by Wednesday, June 26.
Freedom Fire "Friday Night Live." Come be a missionary in your own city! No preparation needed. Simply show up to play activities with 80-100 urban kids, make crafts together, serve a meal, clean-up, and show the love of Jesus! Meet directly downtown at 1301 Vine Street, Kansas City, MO, the "T.B. Watkins" Freedom Fire location, or caravan from Overland Park at the 888 International Market located on the northwest corner of 119th St and Hwy 69 promptly at 5:30pm that night.
