Middle School Ministry - "Let's Meet For Lunch". We want to meet all middle schoolers for lunch! Bring your own lunch as this week we will meet at Grace. Wednesday, June 5, 11:30am-1pm.
High School Ministry - "Let's Meet For Lunch". High school students, we want to go out to lunch with you! Meet us at Chipotle on 135th & Metcalf. Cost is $8. Thursday, June 6, 11:30am-1pm.
Schlitterbahn Day for Student Ministries. Grace Student Ministries (middle and high school students) are headed to Schlitterbahn for a day in the sun! While the cost for admission is $40 (includes lunch, admission, and transportation), you will want to bring additional money for snacks throughout the day. Meet at Grace for check-in and pick-up. Register Now for SBO Evenings. Jesus: Believe Him or Not! is the theme for SBO 2013. Through live worship, crazy fun sites, crafts, and teaching, kids will experience Jesus in a whole new way. Our week will be topped off by our annual SBO Performance and Carnival, where the kids can share with their families everything they learned. SBO Performance, Carnival, and Family Picnic. Join us in fellowship as a church family along with the many visiting families that attended the week of Summer BreakOut (SBO). The kids will minister to us using what they learned at SBO through song and verse. Outside will be a carnival with games and activities the kids experienced during the week. Also, you and your family can help with our missions project from the week as you package meals for starving children around the world. Lunch and fun treats will be available for a small fee. Middle School Ministry "Take Over" Skyzone. Middle school students, come hang out with us as we "Take Over" Skyzone! This is a full trampoline park. Meet and pick up at Skyzone. Student Ministries "Game Day at the K!" Attention middle and high school students! Invite a friend to "Game Day at the K!" Enjoy "Buck Night" and watch the KC Royals take on the Chicago White Sox. If that isn't enough, we will end the night watching fireworks at the K! Cost is $25 per student. Please find more information and registration online. Who's
Who: The Men and Women of the Old Testament. Who were the
people of the Old Testament and what can they tell us that is relevant today?
They were perfectly ordinary people just like us, with flaws, but God used them
in amazingly extraordinary ways! Join us and see how God can use you. The cost
for this class is $16.50 per person (includes book). Classes begin May 24 and
run through August 30. Don't worry if you miss a class as we will be studying a
different character each week. The study will take place at the home of a

Grace Vision Class. This class, taught by Senior Pastor Tim Howey, is an authentic, action-packed class that outlines the history, uniqueness, and heartbeat behind Grace Church. Children's Ministry Vision Class. Did you know we have intentionally written our weekend curriculum to facilitate families learning together? Our Children’s Ministry is excited to offer a class explaining how we minister to your child and how you can build on that throughout the week at home. We will also discuss procedures we have put in place to keep your kids safe. The last few minutes of the class will cover the information needed to be a volunteer. Whether you have been at Grace for years or you are a new attendee, you will find this class beneficial. Please register online. Saturday, June 8, 6-7:15pm.
"Not a Fan" Women's Bible Study. This video-driven study concentrates on the fact that Jesus is not interested in mere fans. He wants completely committed followers. We will examine what it means to deny one's self and truly follow Jesus. It's a challenge - a call to look at your relationship with Jesus with fresh eyes. This study will be at the home of a "Gracer" and the address will be given after registration. It will run on Saturdays June 8-July 20, from 9-11am. Grace Beliefs Class. What does Grace Church believe and teach? Explore ten core subjects that help shape our beliefs here at Grace. This is a four week instructor-led and discussion-oriented Bible study. Topics covered include our beliefs on God, Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, salvation, scripture, baptism, communion, the local church, Genesis, Satan, the return of Christ and eternity. "Lessons I Learned in the Dark" Women's Bible Study. "Walking by Faith: Lessons Learned in the Dark" contrasts the evidences of walking by faith and walking by sight. It encourages participants to take risks, give God control, persevere through hardship, receive God's gifts, be guided by the Truth rather than feelings, and seek God. Please purchase the book at Mardel online prior to class. This class will be offered on Tuesdays from June 4-July 16, 10am-12pm. Please register online no later than June 13.
"Unglued" Women's Bible Study. In "Unglued" by Lysa TerKeurst, she admits that she, like most women, has experiences where others bump into her happy and she comes emotionally unglued. We stuff, we explode, or react somewhere in between. What do we do with these raw emotions? Is it really possible to make emotions work for us instead of against us? Yes, and in her usual inspiring and practical way, Lysa will show you how. Please purchase the book "Unglued" by Lysa TerKeurst prior to class. It is available at Lifeway Christian Store or online. Fire "Friday Night Live." Come be a missionary in your own
city! No preparation needed. Simply show up to play activities with 80-100
urban kids, make crafts together, serve a meal, clean-up, and show the love of

Donate to SBO! Believe it or not, you can help serve 5400 snacks without being at SBO! Here is the 'Top 7' list of requested donations: large bags of plain corn tortilla chips, large containers of mild salsa, large bags of Veggie Straws, Sunbutter or WOWbutter (not peanut butter), large bags of pretzels (not Snyders), paper / Styrofoam bowls or 5oz “bathroom” cups. Our outdoor sites are still in need of 12 pool air rafts, 12 boogie boards and 25 foam water squirters. Please deliver your donation to Grace at the children's check-in area no later than June 2.
Impact a Life at Summer BreakOut. Summer BreakOut (SBO) has many opportunities for your talents to shine! We have volunteer needs in our classrooms, outdoors, on our stage, and even behind the scenes. If you can't be at the event, you can get involved in the preparation, or at the carnival following the event. Email Daneen Kelsey to get plugged in.
Hope Faith Family Serve Day. Hope Faith Ministries is a faith-based ministry that serves the needs of the homeless and less fortunate in Kansas City. Come see for yourself how we are ministering to those in our own backyard. Please observe the dress code of sleeved shirts (no tank tops), pants, and closed-toe shoes. Ages 5 and up are welcome to participate. Meet at Grace at 8:15am to caravan down. Second Saturday of every month; next one on Saturday, June 8, 9-11am; bingo 11am-12pm.
Student Ministries Volunteer Orientation. Come explore the possibilities to invest in the lives of students! Grace Student Ministries is hosting an orientation to explain the ins and outs of our volunteer process. Whether it's leading a small group, serving food, or chaperoning an event, you are needed and can make a difference. Please let us know you plan on coming by registering online. Donation Items Needed For Haiti. A group of "Gracers" will be going on a mission trip to Haiti the week of June 23. You can help bless the people of Haiti by sending them with donations.
