SOARly Needed R&R. The Grace ministry for families with special needs SOAR (Special Opportunities, Abilities and Relationships) is hosting a FREE night of respite for parents of individuals with special needs. We also have a simultaneous sibling program for siblings from birth-13 y/o. If you or someone you know fit this demographic, we invite you to participate. To register, email [email protected]. Student Ministries Sneak Peek for Upcoming 6th Graders. This is a sneak peek scheduled for current 5th graders. Students will get a chance to attend Student Ministries and participate in a small group. Parents are also invited to participate in the large group session with their student, and then attend an information meeting during the small group time to discuss details surrounding the transition from 5th grade into Student Ministries. SOAR Family Support Group. Grace offers a support group for families of individuals with special needs. This is a place where parents can laugh, cry, and pray together. We often focus on topics that relate to raising a child with special needs and allow parents to share with one another. Alison Gromer, founder of Champions Special Ministries will be speaking on "Summer Camp Opportunities for Individuals with Special Needs". Israel Trip Information Meeting. Grace will be leading a team to the Holy Land October 22 to November 3. We will be serving with a ministry we support called Seeds Of Hope. We will also be visiting holy sites where Senior Pastor Tim Howey will be teaching. Hope Faith Family Serve Day. Hope Faith Ministries is a faith-based ministry that serves the needs of the homeless and less fortunate in Kansas City. Come see for yourself how we are ministering to those in our own backyard. Please observe the dress code of sleeved shirts (no tank tops), pants, and closed-toe shoes. Freedom Fire "Friday Night Live." Come be a missionary in your own city! No preparation needed. Simply show up to play activities with 80-100 urban kids, make crafts together, serve a meal, clean-up, and show the love of Jesus!
