Prayer Meetings.
Our Senior Pastor Tim Howey says, "Prayer is where the real work is
done." Join Tim for the "real work" in lifting up the community,

Student Ministries Worlds of Fun Day. Middle school and high school students, join the Student Ministries Team for a day at Worlds of Fun! Roller coasters, water rides, and BBQ will fill the day. We will be meeting at the church and transport by bus to and from Worlds of Fun on Saturday, May 4. For more information and to register, visit the Grace website. Men's Breakfast. Calling all men! This quarterly breakfast will challenge you like no other. Come hear what it takes to make that next step in your spiritual journey. Student Ministries: "Heaven on Earth" A Christian Prom Experience. High school juniors and seniors are invited to join the Student Ministries for a relaxed, fun-filled night at The Refuge KC for our first annual Christian prom experience. SOARly Needed R&R. The Grace ministry for families with special needs SOAR (Special Opportunities, Abilities and Relationships) is hosting a FREE night of respite for parents of individuals with special needs. We also have a simultaneous sibling program for siblings from birth-13 y/o. If you or someone you know fit this demographic, we invite you to participate. To register, email [email protected]. Student Ministries Sneak Peek for Upcoming 6th Graders. This is a sneak peek scheduled for current 5th graders on Sunday night, May 5. Students will get a chance to attend Student Ministries and participate in a small group. Parents are also invited to participate in the large group session with their student, and then attend an information meeting during the small group time to discuss details surrounding the transition from 5th grade into Student Ministries. Sunday, May 5, 5-7:45pm.
SOAR Family Support Group. Grace offers a support group for families of individuals with special needs. This is a place where parents can laugh, cry, and pray together. We often focus on topics that relate to raising a child with special needs and allow parents to share with one another. Alison Gromer, founder of Champions Special Ministries will be speaking on "Summer Camp Opportunities for Individuals with Special Needs". This three-week study unpacks the three main aspects of the mission: the concept of "Love", the importance of "Learning" and growing in your Christian walk, and how you can "Lead" not only within the walls of Grace Church, but most importantly outside the walls of Grace! Children's Ministry Vision Class. Did you know we have intentionally written our weekend curriculum to facilitate families learning together? Our Children’s Ministry is excited to offer a class explaining how we minister to your child and how you can build on that throughout the week at home. We will also discuss procedures we have put in place to keep your kids safe. The last few minutes of the class will cover the information needed to be a volunteer. Beyond the Veil: Women's Training Seminar. The Women's Training Seminar: Beyond the Veil is designed to support and encourage Christian women to engage and promote new relationships with Muslim women. We want to tear down walls of mutual suspicion, fear, anger and prejudice. We are dedicated to building bridges of friendship, trust, and understanding by focusing on the universal needs and roles of women. Cost is $40 per person ($45 day of event). Impact a Life at Summer BreakOut. Summer BreakOut (SBO) has many opportunities for your talents to shine! We have volunteer needs in our classrooms, outdoors, on our stage, and even behind the scenes. If you can't be at the event, you can get involved in the preparation, or at the carnival following the event. Email Daneen Kelsey to get involved.
GPK Tech/Talent Tryouts. We need more than 50 volunteers every weekend to lead our GPK kids in worship. We will be holding try-outs for kids and students in 4th through 12th grades. If you have vocal abilities, computer skills, dance talents, you love to act or can produce videos, sign-up for one of these sessions and use your talent for Christ! Israel Trip Information Meeting. Grace will be leading a team to the Holy Land October 21 to November 2. We will be serving with a ministry we support called Seeds Of Hope. We will also be visiting holy sites where Senior Pastor Tim Howey will be teaching. Hope Faith Family Serve Day. Hope Faith Ministries is a faith-based ministry that serves the needs of the homeless and less fortunate in Kansas City. Come see for yourself how we are ministering to those in our own backyard. Please observe the dress code of sleeved shirts (no tank tops), pants, and closed-toe shoes. Ages 5 and up are welcome to participate. Meet at Grace at 8:15am to caravan down. Second Saturday of every month; next one on Saturday, May 11, 9-11am; bingo 11am-12pm.
