Promotion Weekend. This is the weekend that all children who will attend Kindergarten through 5th grade in the fall will move into their new classrooms, while those going into the 6th grade will join the Middle School! As a reminder - preschool children move into new classrooms at the time of their birthdays. Saturday, June 2 and Sunday, June 3, all services.
Wednesday Night Activities On Summer Break. All Wednesday night activities -- children, middle and high school, and adults -- are now on a break for the summer. Keep an eye out for them to resume with new and interesting things this fall!

A Friend to Love:
Explore The Parks. Calling all moms, nannies, other ladies, and kids! Join us at local parks as we explore new playgrounds and/or kid-friendly museums each Tuesday. Pack a lunch and make it a picnic! Next week we'll visit the Kansas City Zoo. Admission charges are $11.50 adults, $10.50 seniors, $8.50 children ages 3-11. Meet at the admissions gate at 9:30am Tuesday, June 5, 9:30am - noon.
Student Ministries Summer Camp. Start making your plans now to join us! Summer camp is a crucial part of our Student Ministries. It's a time where our youth group grows closer together and closer to God through focused teaching, a healthy dose of fun, and intentional relationship building. For a lot of students, camp is the highlight of the year as they step away from the busyness of life, unplug from the noise of the many things that we surround ourselves with, and have a chance to connect with God and friends. For Summer Camp 2012 our Student Ministries has taken over Logan Valley Retreat Center in Ellington, MO and will be joined by worship band AWAM. Come ready to be inspired by relevant biblical teaching, games and recreation, a float trip down the beautiful Current River and MORE! Cost is $325 per person. Register today! June 11 - 15.
Baby Dedications. Following Christ's model in Matthew 19, Grace invites parents of infants and toddlers to stand and declare their commitment to raising children that follow Christ, and ask the church to pray and partner with them in this process. The next quarterly Baby Dedication event is June 30 and July 1. If you would like to participate, please register online no later than Friday, June 22.
SBO Performance, Carnival, and Church-wide Picnic. Join us in fellowship as a church family, along with the many visiting families that attended the week of Summer Breakout (SBO). The kids will minister to us using what they learned at SBO through song and verse. Outside will be a carnival, exhibiting many of the games and activities the kids experienced. Lunch and fun treats will be available for a small fee. Saturday, June 23, 11am-1pm.
Eve's Night Out. Join the Women of Grace for their Eve's Night Out. Set this night aside to break away from the madness of keeping the kids busy, and replace it with the melodious laughter of women enjoying themselves! Our theme is Pajama Party and Spa Night, so pajamas, sweats, or just comfy shorts and a t-shirt will do! We are thankful for the opportunity to raise donations for the Kurdistan/Iraq peoples with the Grace spa project. Salon services will be offered starting at 5pm and will continue throughout the evening. Friday, June 29, 7-10pm
American Heritage Girls Parent Information Meeting. American Heritage Girls is a family-friendly, faith-based multi-level scouting organization dedicated to developing the character and leadership skills of girls ages 5 to 18. We offer a broad range of age-appropriate activities, including community service, outdoor activities, and life skills, to prepare young women for their futures. Women's Study -- Becoming a Vessel God Can Use. Author Donna Partow's transparent, vulnerable message impacts women in a profound way, showing them that God loves them, imperfect as they are. They discover how God will transform them so that, whoever they are, they can make a difference in their worlds. Summer Break Out (SBO). This year's theme is There’s An App for That! Registration for the morning session is full and has been closed, but this year we are offering an identical evening session as well, so register your children today. Women's Study -- The Truth Project. The Truth Project is an in-depth Christian worldview experience. It is designed to equip believers with comprehensive Biblical worldviews. A Place to Lead:
SBO Prep Days. Join us for an hour or the whole day to help prepare crafts, snacks and decorations for Summer Breakout. No need to be crafty or artistic. This is a great opportunity to meet new people for a day of fellowship! Childcare will be provided. June 1, 5, 15 from 9am-3pm in the youth room at Grace.

Hope Faith Family Serve Day. Second Saturdays of every month. Hope Faith Ministries is a faith-based ministry that serves the needs of the homeless and less fortunate in Kansas City. Come see for yourself how we are ministering to those in our own backyard. Please observe the dress code of sleeved shirts (no tank tops), pants and closed toed shoes. Ages 5 and up welcome to participate. Meet at Grace at 8:15am to caravan down. Saturday, June 9, 9-11am; bingo 11am-12pm.
Summer Break Out. Did you know that adults and youth can participate in SBO, too? As volunteers, of course! Many of our volunteers claim they have every bit as much fun as the kids do -- plus they have the opportunity to share Christ's love all week long. F4 (Freedom Fire Fun Fridays). Come be a missionary in your own city! No preparation needed. Simply show up to play activities with 80-100 urban kids, make crafts together, serve a meal, clean up, and show the love of Jesus! Meet directly downtown at 1301 Vine Street, Kansas City, MO, the "T.B. Watkins" Freedom Fire location, or caravan from Overland Park at the 888 Asian Market located on the northwest corner of 119th St and Hwy 69 promptly at 5:45 pm that night. Drama Production Team - Children's Ministry. Did you help in your high school drama or musical productions? Did you act or work behind the scenes on the stage crew or set design? The Children’s Ministry is looking to increase our drama production team on the weekend and for our larger-than-life SBO in the month of June.
